Donald Trump joked about awarding himself the Medal of Honor and trailed the idea of dumping thousands of captured Isis fighters on Europe in an address to the American Veterans 75th National Convention in Kentucky on Wednesday evening.
The speech followed a particularly wild day for the president in which he retweeted praise from an evangelical broadcaster likening the affection in which he is held by Israeli Jews to “the second coming of God”, referred to himself as a “the chosen one” in discussion with reporters and labelled the prime minister of Denmark “nasty” over her refusal to consider selling Greenland to him.
Displaying signs of creeping authoritarianism and a burgeoning Messiah complex, Mr Trump also spoke of how much the injured citizens of El Paso “loved him”, speculated on serving more than two terms and raised the prospect of amending the constitution by executive order to end birthright citizenship.

A new report from the nonpartisan non-profit Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) shows that President Trump has more than 2,300 conflicts of interest since he’s taken office — and counting. The conflicts stem from the president’s ties to his businesses, despite his claim that he divested when he took office.
According to the study, the president “has created an environment where the actions of his administration, and those trying to influence it, can benefit the globe-spanning real-estate and branding empire that he still profits from.” The report highlights over 2,300 specific conflicts of interest, but makes a point to note that the conflicts of interest that Trump has created are “at some level immeasurable.

NEW YORK (AP) — About 6 in 10 Americans disapprove of President Donald Trump's overall job performance, according to a new poll released Thursday by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, which finds some support for the president's handling of the U.S. economy but gives him weak marks on other major issues.
Just 36% of Americans approve of the way Trump is handling his job as president; 62% disapprove.
The numbers may be ugly for a first-term president facing reelection in 14 months, but they are remarkably consistent. Trump's approval rating has never dipped below 32% or risen above 42% in AP-NORC polls since he took office.
No other president has stayed within so narrow a band. Since Gallup began measuring presidential approval, Trump is the only president whose rating has never been above 50%. Still, several — Harry Truman, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush — logged ratings worse than Trump's lowest rating so far at some point during their time in office.

“We’ve wasted all their fucking resources to make this rally,” Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio said in video captured during the latest extremist rally held Saturday in Portland. “We want them to waste $2 million and we’ll do it again in two months.”

Think his problem is a tad more serious than loose dentures. I wear dentures, I can guarantee a well fitted set need no adhesive and cause no speech issues. He must have the best denture guy lol. *Not due to any dental hygiene issues, simply radiation at lymph nodes that fucked shit up. The new ones are nicer anyway, and I surprised my stepson that I had them after 3.5 years of knowing me so they look natural enough 👌🏻 I’m drunk. Straya!!! |
