The fucking moron incorrectly stated that the hurricane would impact Alabama - which was incorrect. NOAA immediately sent out a tweet stating that Alabama was NOT going to be impacted. Then - since he is a narcissist and a little baby-man who can't admit when he is wrong - he tweeted that NOAA was fake news and wrong and disrespectful yada yada yada. Then - STILL not able to let it go and admit he was wrong - the fucking whiner AGAIN brought it up today, and took his narcissim a step further, producing a 5-day old outdated forecast. And even THAT one didn't show Alabama being impacted, so he had someone draw an additional little black line on the NOAA map that extended out to Alabama! So obvious that only a MAGA cultist would fall for it. Have I mentioned what a complete fucking moron Trump is? Trump Mars Hurricane Briefing
UPDATE: And now it appears that the Orange Fucktwit has violated a federal law by using his little black sharpie to alter the NOAA weather forecast: Did Trump Violate Federal Law With Altered Forecast Map?

Here is the original photo of the original briefing from last Thursday - on the WHITE HOUSE freaking website. See any black line around Alabama? Nope. Didn't think so. Now here is the altered forecast that Orange Fuckstick showed today during his briefing - same picture, but with an additional little bubble drawn by sharpie around Alabama: I'll say it again. FUCKING MORON.

I will always go back to (must never be allowed to be forgotten!) When he said that finland (or another Scandinavian country) doesn't get forest fires, so America should be copying their forestry strategy.
He's got a list of 20, 30, 50?! Gaffes that I honestly think ANY republican, if they weren't so indelibly locked in to this maga paradigm would agree should IMMEDIATELY disqualify you from being a respected example of someone who should lead the country. I don't mean the policy stuff, I just mean stuff he's said or done that are SO dumb, they just can't have come out of an intelligent and able human being...
(They just say "don't care" because he's said 3-4 dog whistle things they can not avoid, like cat nip...)

Having 2 son in laws that are devote repubs and DT ass lickers, the reasoning I get from them about DT this late in the game is...he is NOT Hillary (or the lesser of two evils). I am actually thinking Hillary is just a name, it really boils down to...the president is not a dem.

Hillary Clinton was not in the 2016 Republican primary. What's the explanation for Trump winning that?

Hillary Clinton was not in the 2016 Republican primary. What's the explanation for Trump winning that? Now that is where I am baffled. He was a bully throughout the primaries and his base adored him. He made promises that even my grade school grandkids laughed at. So in all seriousness, I have no freaking idea how he won the nod. This opinion might help see the light - fivethirtyeight.com/features/why-republican-voters-decided-on-trump/

Trump campaigned HARD on an anti-clinton line (as part of the "I'm not establishment" idea) in the rep primaries. Perfectly logical to suggest Clinton was an influence on trump winning that...

Nate Silver is wrong on a lot of things - because predicting things is wildly inconsistent in small samples - but looking back, he nailed this part: I am still not sure that Trump voters hated Hillary any more than they hated any of the other candidates. Seems they wanted someone who wasn't "the establishment" and who talked like them. The opponent didn't really matter.

I know it is a complex subject, and I'm normally not a fan of over-simplifying anything, but I've said it before - I really think it boils down at a human level to a lot of Americans love Trump because in him, they see themselves. Racist, misogynist, xenophobic, paranoid, looking for scapegoats to blame for their misfortunes, vulgar, venal, intellectually incurious, a bully, resentful of those more educated, no attention span, hateful, etc, etc. Trump makes them suddenly feel OK to be all of those things, because he is and he is blatantly unapologetic about them. And his war on reality and truth allows them to lie with impunity just like he does, about all of that and more. In him, they are allowed to be all that they ever wanted to be, even when they are not, and they have the highest office-holder in the land backing all their ugliness up, and allowing them to live in the same little fantasy world that he does.

All true, and probably the biggest, and most obvious reason. But the complexities are important too...

This boils down to the what I’ve always seen as worst of America now becoming the norm, and even applauded. Unless it’s overthrown and put down at the next election, this IS what America stands for. Reckon the rest of the world is going to stand by and watch that happen for long? They may have the biggest military of any single country - but they’re a single country that is NOT equipped to fight at home.
