I can't wait to see repub heads exploding when a dem president starts overwriting all of the EOs DT has pushed through.
Who wants to bet when it happens, the repubs in Congress try to change how EOs are handled.

And if you had any doubts about what a totalitarian dictator-wanna-be Trump is: Big Brother
Of course, if a Democrat president proposed this, the Right would be frothing at the mouth about abuse of executive power, trying to turn the Presidency into a dictatorship, making analogies to 1984, and so forth. When their own Fuhrer does it, it's all cool. Obama shut it down?

I don't recall to be honest. I remember I was outraged when I first heard about it (as were many), and it lowered my opinion of Obama quite a bit. The fact that this says Trump is looking to reboot the program makes me think he did shut it down, but whether he did voluntarily or because of the outrage, I don't know. It shows that authoritarianism is not blue or red.

I believe Obama ran stating he was against it, but facing a hostile senate he used the powers and didn’t remove them.
May be wrong but think I read that somewhere.

It shows that authoritarianism is not blue or red. Yep. As the old truism goes... power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Prism was instigated under the Bush administration. The Obama administration stood behind it - several times downplaying it's enormous scope. One of the bigger black marks during his tenure imho.

My son in law went to DT's rally in NH and he said it was better than any rock concert he has seen and was the best day of his life, I asked where his marriage to my daughter and the birth of his son came in and believe it or not, he said 2nd and 3rd best days. Jesus H. Christ. I've said it before - it really IS a cult, in every sense of the term. And his followers are literally cultists. Your son-in-law is a dumbass.

A Florida man was arrested after he was caught with five ecstasy pills that were the color orange and in the shape of President Donald Trump's face, authorities said.
Brendan Dolan-King, 23, had the ecstasy pills hidden inside his air vent at his home in the city of Clearwater, according to an arrest report from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
They were labeled “Trump NL," according to the report.

He is saying so many dumbass things lately, yet not a peep from any repub in DC saying he is wrong. Pass the message...VOTE like your life depends on it in 2020. Right? I hear people/journalists/pundits/talking heads speculate that because the Republican Party has now fully embraced Trump and Trumpism - and all of the horrific crazy racist homophobic zenophobic fascist moronic bat-shit-loony-tunes things that it encompasses and stands for - that it will eventually hurt them. As opposed to the "Never Trumper" old-school Republicans who reject Trump and Trumpism, who have basically been outcast by the Republican Party for not jumping on the Trump Train. Time will tell I guess. But Americans' memories are notoriously short. Many predicted the end of the Republican Party back during Bush II's 2nd term, after the Iraq quagmire and all the other shit that moron did. And yet here we are a decade later mired in yet another Republican administration, with a Republican-majority SC and a Republican-controlled Senate. True - the right is having to rely on every dirty trick in the book to maintain their grip on power (gerrymandering, voter suppression, etc.). But the Republican Party is nowhere near dead. It is simply, IMO, reverting to its lowest common denominator, the natural evolution of right-wing ideology, which ultimately leads to authoritarianism, fascism, racism, corruption, and nationalism. You are right though - vote like your life depends on it in 2020. Because it very well might.
