BATTING-we both have one player each in the top ten next best for us Stokes 13 for you Warner 17 BOWLING -you have 2 we have 1 ALL ROUNDERS -we have 3 you have 2 them being Cummins & Starc i wouldn't really class the former as a all rounder only batting average is 19

As good as the matches have been it's fair to say that both of these sides are not as good as Ashes sides of the past. Both have match winning players and all round good bowling attacks, both have very fragile batting line ups, admittedly England more so than Australia which in the end is why we haven't won the Ashes. And then there's Steve Smith, who might just be the best batsman in my lifetime. You'll note that I don't go on about his cheating. As far as I'm concerned he was complicit in that incident, he was very publicly shamed and punished, lost the captaincy and a year of the prime of his career. The punishment fitted the crime, he's served his time, end of story, move on. I'm glad he's back, what cricket fan doesn't want to watch that genius bat? He's awesome, and has almost single handedly won the Ashes. That isn't something to deny, that's something to be proud of.

England batting well! What a strange feeling...
Would love to take away the series win from Australia; extend that winless streak over here...

Big session. Had we got a couple early and got into the middle we may have had a chance at a gettale total. This half hour has taken that away, anyone coming in now will have almost no pressure.
All to do with the bat for us. Plenty of guys with points to prove so hopefully we come good.
If not, we’ve made enough mistakes at crucial times for 2-2 to be a fair result I guess. Smith can’t be captain till June next year so I’m not sure what they’ll do about Paine. Probably time his retirement for then. Looking forward to your next vsit, I expect well both have our batting sorted and Jofra should be a handful here.

I think this was our chance to get the ashes, and we underperformed, plus you know, Smith. I think you may tonk us down under, and then we maybe take it back next time in England...

To be fair we could have a 500 lead and still not feel safe until that man is out! Still plenty can happen in this match. Nice to see this batting though, probably the first time we've batted properly all summer!

Not seen it yet to see if it was a fair decision or not? You lot will be alright. The cricket is so well poised. Would love to see another 40/50 put on by our tail enders, they can all hold a bat. But the pitch is still playing nicely, the sun will be out, could be another very interesting day tomorrow. As always, Smith is they key wicket. I've got a funny feeling Warner might get a few this time too. Anything is possible in this series. But you have to say, put in to bat we would have taken a second innings lead of 380+ all day long.

agree we are in a good position but it ain't over yet sure Warner is due a knock he can have one as long as Smith is due a failure and he has one in regard to the football it's not a case of we will alright we should be up there with you but this guy has won 3 games out of 29 don't know how much more time the board will give him probably till the next International break

looks like we have them rattled when they resort to sledging and personal at that hope we give it to them back especially to Wade but don't stoop to low personal attacks

Never mind seeing a bit of chatter out in the middle, it's all part of the fun! But you know it's gone a bit too far when the umpire has to step in to calm it down like he did yesterday. You can bet that England will give it back today!

I could hear a prolonged thing from the wicket mic in the previous test, Wade again, saying something to archer, and I can't remember exactly what, but something along the lines of "we know he goes straight to the press, so we'll only say stuff he doesn't want them to know." And repeated similar things like 2 or 3 times.
I'm absolutely fine with sledging based on cricket stuff, when it gets personal tho, I think it's gone too far...

Wades a twat. He had a stellar first class season and topped the batting numbers or he wouldn’t have been picked. They’ll be looking to get rid of both him and Paine and getting Carey in I expect.
Working again, huge 2.5 hour shift. Hope we’re none fa whenever I get to see it.

No surprise I was a huge sledger. I drew the line at send offs, but pretty much anything was open slather in Brisbane second grade. No one ever carried it on off the ground. Never liked the sneaky talkers when the bowler was running in either, I’d pull away every time when I was batting and wouldn’t have it on any team I captained. I also never spoke TO the batsman unless I was bowling at him. In the field it was ok to talk to your teammates about the batsman, but never directly to him - so for him to engage was a win in itself lol.
Delivery to do...
