"Philadelphia election officials did not improperly block Donald Trump’s campaign from observing the counting of mail-in ballots, the Pennsylvania supreme court ruled 5-2 on Tuesday, a major blow to the president’s already flailing legal efforts.
The decision is significant because one of the Trump campaign’s loudest claims since the election has been that they were improperly blocked from observing the counting of ballots in Philadelphia.
Even the two Republican justices who dissented from the majority opinion disagreed with the idea, advanced by the Trump campaign, that legitimate votes should be rejected because of improper observation practices.
“Short of demonstrated fraud, the notion that presumptively valid ballots cast by the Pennsylvania electorate would be disregarded based on isolated procedural irregularities that have been redressed -- thus disenfranchising potentially thousands of voters -- is misguided,” Chief Justice Thomas Saylor wrote in his dissenting opinion.
“Accordingly, to the degree that there is a concern with protecting or legitimizing the will of the Philadelphians who cast their votes while candidate representatives were unnecessarily restrained at the Convention Center, I fail to see that there is any real issue.”
As a reminder, Joe Biden currently leads Trump in Pennsylvania by 72,832 votes."

Lawyers representing the Pennsylvania secretary of state's office shredded the Trump campaign's lead lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, in a major court hearing on Tuesday about the campaign's biggest election lawsuit.
Giuliani alleged that "widespread nationwide voter fraud" took place in the election and asked the judge to toss out nearly 700,000 mail ballots in Pennsylvania and block the state from certifying its election results.
Mark Aronchick, one of the defense lawyers representing Pennsylvania secretary of state Kathy Boockvar's office, tore into Giuliani, describing him as living in a "fantasy world," calling him "really inventive," and saying he was making arguments that were "disgraceful in an American courtroom."
Daniel Donovan, another defense lawyer, reminded the judge that despite Giuliani's claims of widespread fraud, the campaign's lawsuit did not make any such allegation

Update from U.S. district court in Williamsport, Pa., one of the Trump campaign's last stands:
GIULIANI: “I’m not sure what 'opacity' means. It probably means you can see.”
JUDGE BRANN: “It means you can’t.”
Lol.

I am an independent, registered as such, always have been except it wasn't called independent when I 1st registered 50 years ago. Having said that, if I were a registered republican right now, I would truly be embarrassed by the current admin's focus on a bogus election. I understand he just hates losing but his life has been full of failures, so I don't get the delay in conceding. Lots of foreigners I engage with every day are also as baffled by his actions right now.

So incredibly sick of current Republicans right now who are supporting Trump, I am still fully appreciative of the republicans who have opposed Trump and how he has conducted his administration. It takes balls to admit that a President in your own camp is being that of a tyrant, egotistical liar etc, but maintaining the integrity that hey this man is doing some shady and unethical shit is commendable.
Most republicans who support Trump are seemingly breaking away from the traditional republican party to form their own cult. Why do you think so many Republicans are being dismissive of Fox News. God forbid a Republican news anchor be critical of Trump and his actions. Just because someone does not condone every aspect that one does, it doesn't mean that the person still doesn't overall approve of the person. This is called TOUGH LOVE which many of the Trumpers can't see. Hell I don't approve of everything my parents or my wife and kids but it doesn't mean I don't love them. In fact, its more welcomed to point out their flaws and not tolerate improper actions so that improvement transpires in the future.
Donald Trump is HORRIFIC with accepting constructive feedback. Most of what is being criticized for is highly merited and true while being expressed with great care and consideration. BUT NOOOOO with Donald his egotistical narcissistic ass needs to be kissed up to every five goddamn seconds. IF Trump truly cared about the American people, he'd accept the imminent results of the election and focus on what he can accomplish over the next sixty days in office. Instead, all of his time and devotion is being allocated to saying that the election is rigged without substantive proof that it actually is. This is personal gain.
Trump supports he is not disputing the election results to get four more years, he knows he lost and their is nothing he can do about it, but with his ego he wants to remain as relevant as possible for the next sixty days. Once someone is made President elect, everyone knows that the primary focus between election day and inauguration is on the new regime and what they aspire to do, while the old administration gets minimal attention during the transition period. Meanwhile. Trump is risking the reputation of his future family lineage over his own personal gain for 60 days. Barron his youngest son is like 15 years old and deserves a good future. he seems like a great kid and is probably pissed his father is Trump. The thing though is Trump only cares about himself, he doesn't care enough about his family to realize the implications of what he is doing with the election results. with him ITS ME ME ME ME.
As bad as he is though, his supporters are more at blame, if they would just speak their goddamn minds he'd recognize there is nothing to fight for and he can go into irrelevancy much much sooner. When he had his show the apprentice, all of my republican friends hated his friggin ass. All of a sudden because he was made the republican nominee four years ago he is the best person on planet Earth. I can assure you if he ran as a Democrat, they'd still hate his ass.
VOTE THE PERSON people not the party. As I said recently, even though I am a registered Republican, My 2020 ballot was 70-30 in favor of Republicans' but I did vote for the Biden/Harris ticket. Trump's supporters are lacking in IQ and intelligence and are swayed to believe his twitter nonsense. He has gotten them to believe that masks are ineffective. UMMMMMMM DONNY AND YOUR SUPPORTERS, how come Doctors, Nurses, Dentists etc have worn them since God knows when? Because they are effective. Seriously guys its not a sacrifice to wear a mask in public, its one second to put on one second to take off. IS THAT SO DAMN HARD? You spend hours a day browsing useless shit on social media but revolt against an effective thing that takes literally 5 seconds out of your day? Makes NO sense.
Trump Supporters why do you brag about rebelling and not wearing masks? You make a point not to wear them in public places and have people scowl at you to gain what? So that people can hate you? If you want people to come to the side to support Trump, what makes you think alienating them is the most feasible solution? OH right because Trump Republicans made the masks political remember? I guess if you wear a mask you are insinuating that the virus is real and that Mr wonderful Donald Trump was wrong huh? YOU CAN WEAR A MASK AND STILL BE A REPUBLICAN guys. Do republicans realize that Trump was a democrat until 12 years ago? Knowing Trump's ego, the democrats were smart enough to reject him or he tried his hand with the republicans and succeeded. I'll admit, four years ago I did vote him because I felt like his unorthodox methodology could be worthwhile in America. As I have said in the past though I quickly realized that was an error.
I also HATE HATE HATE how Trumpers mock people who wear masks in cars alone. WHO GIVES A FUCKING SHIT. They are comfortable let them be. They should not be deported like you all are alleging because you think its stupid to wear a mask in the car. Hell I have worn my mask in the car several times, it doesn't bother me in the slightest, and I am damn smart. I because a CFO when I was 24, I am not your run of the mill individual. Two weeks ago, I went shopping and I normally take a bag with me to put my mask in, because I am for certain not putting my mask on the dirty dashboard or rearview mirror in my car. To me its more stupid to put your mask on a dirty ass dashboard then wearing it on your face in the car but who am I? Anyway, two weeks ago, I had to run three errands but I forgot the grocery bag to put the mask in between stops. So I wore the mask in the car until I got home. Why should I be judged for that? Hell even if a person feels more comfortable wearing a mask in their car during a global pandemic LET THEM BE. They aren't affecting you in a negative way so LET THEM BE DAMMIT.
Anyway, sorry for the rant, I am hoping that the traditional republican party is restored soon once Trumpmania ends, because I honestly cannot take that lunacy anymore.

Rudy is a lawyer who doesn't know what "opacity" means and says his favourite "law movie" is my cousin Vinny. Hahahaha, can't make this shit up. (And how dare he debase the great COMEDY movie that is my cousin Vinny!)
He didn't even get the meaning of the scene he absolutely ridiculously quoted as relevant to the vote observation process!
He quotes the scene where Vinny shows the old woman can't see properly because she was too far away: (therefore similar to vote observers being too far away.)
HE DID THAT TO PROVE HER BAD EYESIGHT YOU FUCKING MORON!!
Unless your observers were all 80yr olds with the wrong glasses prescription, your comparison of an unrealistic comedy movie to vote count observation IN REAL LIFE doesn't even work.
Still can't believe 10s of millions of Americans are taking this shit seriously...

President Trump met with Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield and Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey at the White House on Friday. The meeting was viewed as a veiled attempt by Trump to convince the GOP legislators to cooperate with a plan to override the will of voters in Michigan, where President-elect Joe Biden won by more than 150,000 votes. A video clip on Twitter shows reporters asking Shirkey if he’ll “honor the will of Michigan voters” after he arrived at Reagan National Airport near D.C.
The Associated Press reported that discussions were taking place at the White House about also inviting Pennsylvania GOP leaders to meet with the president. On Wednesday, Trump’s campaign filed a lawsuit in Pennsylvania asking a federal judge to simply declare Trump the winner of the state and have its electors vote accordingly. Biden beat Trump in Pennsylvania by roughly 81,000 votes.

In latest blow to Trump, GSA administrator releases transition funds to Biden
Emily Murphy, the top official in General Services Administration in charge of making millions of dollars in transition funding available to the winner of the presidential election, said Monday that President-elect Joe Biden would receive those funds.
“As the Administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration, I have the ability under the Presidential Transition Act of 1963, as amended, to make certain post-election resources and services available to assist in the event of a presidential transition,” Murphy said in a letter sent Monday to Biden. “I take this role seriously and, because of recent developments involving legal challenges and certifications of election results, am transmitting this letter today to make those resources and services available to you.”
Murphy, who is tasked with ascertaining the winner of the presidential election, had come under fire from Democrats who accused her of blocking the transition funds out of loyalty to President Trump. Murphy denied those accusations in her letter to Biden.

Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman appeared on The Situation Room With Wolf Blitzer on Sunday where he weighed in on President Trump’s latest defeat in court. On Saturday, a federal judge threw out Trump’s lawsuit challenging the results of the election in the state, saying that the Trump team’s case lacked factual proof.
Asked his reaction to the case being thrown out and the appeal, Fetterman responded, “L-O-L. I mean, I don’t know what else you can say but L-O-L.”
While Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani has said the decision actually helps them because it may get them to the Supreme Court quicker, Fetterman doesn’t believe the lawsuit has a chance.
“The same likelihood that they would have a case is the same likelihood that we have left an enchanted village of Trump voters uncounted somewhere in Pennsylvania that no one realized yet,” Fetterman said. “I mean, it’s fantasy at this point.”

WASHINGTON/REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday he will leave the White House if the Electoral College votes for President-elect Joe Biden, the closest he has come to conceding the Nov. 3 election, even as he repeated unfounded claims of massive voter fraud.
Speaking to reporters on the Thanksgiving holiday, Republican Trump said if Democrat Biden - who is due to be sworn in on Jan. 20 - is formally declared the winner by the Electoral College, he will depart the White House.
Asked if he would leave the White House if the Electoral College votes for Biden, Trump said: "Certainly I will. Certainly I will. And you know that."
But Trump said it would be hard for him to concede because "we know there was massive fraud."
"It was a rigged election ... at the highest level," Trump insisted in a sometimes rambling discourse at the White House, while continuing to offer no concrete evidence of widespread voting irregularities.

The Trump campaign suffered another legal defeat Friday when the Third Circuit Court of Appeals denied an attempt to challenge a lower court loss.
The original lawsuit, based on unfounded claims of voter fraud, sought to stop or reverse the certification of Pennsylvania's vote; Gov. Tom Wolf (D) signed off on the results earlier this week, sending the Keystone State's 20 electoral votes to President-elect Joe Biden. Judge Stephanos Bibas, who was appointed by President Trump, wrote on behalf of the appellate court, stating that "charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here."
