J. Christian Adams, president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) — a conservative group that compiled the EAC data and issued a report on the subject — said these ballots were “28 million opportunities for someone to cheat.”
But Wyman, who is a Republican, said the explanation for this phenomenon is pretty simple and not very ominous.
In most cases where a mail ballot is not returned, “the ballot was received by the voter and they chose, for whatever reason, not to participate in that election and probably put that ballot in the trash can or in a recycle bin,” Wyman said in an interview on “The Long Game,” a Yahoo News podcast.
Wyman agreed with what every other Republican voting expert has told Yahoo News: There is election fraud, but it is small-scale and does not make an impact on statewide or national elections. This opinion is also in keeping with the public statements of the nation’s top law enforcement officials.
“We're very committed to making sure we have an accurate and fair election. States are working right now to make sure we’re balancing access and security so voters can have a safe voting experience and people can have confidence in the results,” Wyman said. “That’s what our profession is, and that’s what we’re going to do.”
In response to Trump’s complaints of a rigged election, Wyman said: “I would categorically disagree with the president on that claim.”

Wisconsin is battling America's worst coronavirus outbreak, and the state's broken politics are partly to blame
So what went wrong?
The most disturbing thing about Wisconsin’s outbreak is that it didn’t have to be this bad. NBC described the problem as “political trench warfare between the Democratic governor and the Republicans who control the state Legislature.” That’s technically accurate, but it also makes it sound like both sides are defending equally sensible positions aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19.
They’re not. On the one hand, Evers has repeatedly tried to do everything in his power to contain the pandemic. On the other, Republicans have repeatedly challenged Evers’s authority and thwarted his efforts, blocking the sort of basic public-health measures other states have enacted while touting themselves as champions of “individual liberty.”
The first and perhaps most consequential of these skirmishes came in the spring, when the Legislature’s Republican leaders filed a lawsuit arguing that Evers’s “safer at home” order would leave the state’s economy “in shambles” — even though it was no stricter than dozens of other shelter-in-place orders in effect across the country. On May 13 the state’s Supreme Court, which was also controlled by conservatives, sided with the GOP and overturned the order. Evers was not pleased, telling CNN that the court’s ruling “puts our state into chaos.”
“Now we have no plan and no protections for the people of Wisconsin,” the governor said. “When you have more people in a small space — I don’t care if it’s bars, restaurants or your home — you’re going to be able to spread the virus. And so now, today, thanks to the Republican legislators who convinced four Supreme Court justices to not look at the law but [to] look at their political careers, I guess, it’s a bad day for Wisconsin.”
“It’s the Wild West,” he added.

President Donald Trump’s order to his secretary of state to declassify thousands of Hillary Clinton’s emails, along with his insistence that his attorney general issue indictments against Barack Obama and Joe Biden, takes his presidency into new territory — until now, occupied by leaders with names like Putin, Xi and Erdogan.
Trump has long demanded — quite publicly, often on Twitter — that his most senior cabinet members use the power of their office to pursue political enemies. But his appeals this week, as he trailed badly in the polls and was desperate to turn the national conversation away from the coronavirus, were so blatant that one had to look to authoritarian nations to make comparisons.
He took a step even Richard Nixon avoided in his most desperate days: openly ordering direct immediate government action against specific opponents, timed to serve his reelection campaign.
“There is essentially no precedent,” said Jack Goldsmith, who led the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel under President George W. Bush and has written extensively on presidential powers. “We have a norm that developed after Watergate that presidents don’t talk about ongoing investigations, much less interfere with them.”

WASHINGTON — For the American farmers President Donald Trump counts on for support, the government money is flowing faster than ever.
Federal payments to farmers are projected to hit a record $46 billion this year as the White House funnels money to Trump’s rural base in the South and Midwest before Election Day.
The gush of funds has accelerated in recent weeks as the president looks to help his core supporters who have been hit hard by the double whammy of his combative trade practices and the coronavirus pandemic. According to the American Farm Bureau, debt in the farm sector is projected to increase by 4% to a record $434 billion this year and farm bankruptcies have continued to rise across the country.
Every day he is trying to buy a vote....poor poor farmers who now live on WELFARE.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he is "not happy" with Attorney General William Barr after the Justice Department's investigation of the Obama administration found no wrongdoing and quietly concluded with no criminal charges.
Trump made the comments to Newsmax TV. He also declined to say whether he would keep Barr on as attorney general for a potential second term.
"Can't comment on that. It's too early. I'm not happy, with all of the evidence I had, I can tell you that. I am not happy," Trump said in the interview.
Trump has praised and criticized Barr in previous interviews, and he has used the Justice Department as a cudgel to go after perceived political enemies.
Recently, news emerged that the Justice Department had concluded an investigation commissioned by Barr into the Obama-era "unmasking" of people named in national security documents related to the Russia investigation — a practice that Trump and conservatives pundits claimed was a political conspiracy.

President Donald Trump fired off a bizarre tweet early on Thursday morning in which he desperately pleaded with voters in the solidly Democrat state of California to vote for him.
"People are fleeing California. Taxes too high, Crime too high, Brownouts too many, Lockdowns too severe," Mr Trump, 74, tweeted shortly after midnight.
"VOTE FOR TRUMP, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE!!!" he added.
Maybe he should get on his knees....LOLOLOLOL

Speaking of the debate, moderator Steve Scully had a mishap on Twitter. He tweeted to Scaramucci “should I respond to Trump”. This was clearly supposed to be a direct message, not a tweet. Why is an “unbiased” moderator asking for advice from a Trump hater? Scully is now claiming his twitter account was hacked 😂. Suuuuurrrrrrre. He also claimed it was hacked before back in 2016 I think. Scully has also tweeted in the past that he is a never Trumper. No way should he be a moderator. The debate commission is a joke. To update my post here, Steve Scully has been suspended by CSPAN after admitting he lied about being hacked. Debate commission continues to look like a joke, great choice for “unbiased” moderator. Any news about Hunter Biden? 😉

More than 17 million Americans have already cast ballots in the 2020 election, a record-shattering avalanche of early votes driven both by Democratic enthusiasm and a pandemic that has transformed the way the nation votes.
The total represents 12% of the all votes cast in the 2016 presidential election, even as eight states are not yet reporting their totals and voters still have more than two weeks to cast ballots. Americans' rush to vote is leading election experts to predict that a record 150 million votes may be cast and turnout rates could be higher than in any presidential election since 1908.
Couvillon said Democrats can't rest on their voting lead, but Republicans are themselves making a big gamble. A number of factors, from rising virus infections to the weather, can impact in-person turnout on Election Day. “If you're putting all your faith into one day of voting, that's really high risk,” Couvillon said.
That's why, despite Trump's rhetoric, his campaign and party are encouraging their own voters to cast ballots by mail or early and in-person. The campaign, which has been sending volunteers and staffers into the field for months despite the pandemic, touts that it has registered more voters this year than Democrats in key swing states like Florida and Pennsylvania — a sharp reversal from the usual pattern as a presidential election looms.

Oh dear, orange Don, who routinely talks down "enemies" in the media, by saying them or their channel has terrible ratings, lost badly to "sleepy Joe" in the town hall ratings war.
That will drive him absolutely mad. Delicious.

Any news about Hunter Biden? 😉 I actually don't care whether moderators are biased. We are all biased, so it would be weird if the moderators weren't. But, what I would like to see is an array of moderators with different biases. I also want to know what those biases are beforehand. An ideal panel: Sean Hannity, Rachel Maddow, Krystal Ball I know where each one of these people stands and who they support. Then, at least, you'd get equal framing of questions. Why is Hunter Biden an issue, considering the status of Trumps kids getting great jobs? I honestly don't care all that much about this. It's way down on my list of issued with any of the candidates.

Let’s be honest though. You aren’t going to care if the moderator is biased when they are not against the guy you are for. I think that’s common sense, id feel the same if the moderators were likes of Hannity and Tucker Carlson. Democrats would complain, and I’d probably say who cares! I like your idea actually, just have two moderators...one biased for each. The way it is now is a joke. I know it was a Town Hall, but Savannah Gurthrie was obnoxious and clearly out to get him.... even through Trump did crush her I thought.
Hunter Biden emails are a big deal....it’s evidence of Biden family corruption.. Also shows Joe to have been flat out lying when he claimed he never had anything to do with Hunters business affairs. Why is this ok? You can’t say if this involved the Trumps...that it wouldn’t be top story. You know it would be. Instead, since it involves Biden you have Twitter and Facebook working overtime to censor it. Of course they would.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The federal budget deficit hit an all-time high of $3.1 trillion in the 2020 budget year, more than double the previous record, as the coronavirus pandemic shrank revenues and sent spending soaring.
The Trump administration reported Friday that the deficit for the budget year that ended on Sept. 30 was three times the size of last year's deficit of $984 billion. It was also $2 trillion higher than the administration had estimated in February, before the pandemic hit.
It was the government's largest annual shortfall in dollar terms, surpassing the previous record of $1.4 trillion set in 2009. At that time, the Obama administration was spending heavily to shore up the nation's banking system and limit the economic damage from the 2008 financial crisis.

That will drive him absolutely mad. Delicious. I admit to being surprised by the ratings, but I also think some Republicans were watching to see if he’d be questioned about Hunters laptop. But hey, maybe he did outdraw him legit...who knows. I don’t think it helped his cause though. 8 year old transgenders? Cops should shoot the leg? LOL. Cops everywhere rolling their eyes at that nonsense. He just sounds like a guy trying to pander to left wing activists and has no idea what he’s saying.

Say what you will about Trump, but is this actually fine? I mean....really. It’s ok to say you’ll take this over Trump, just as long as you acknowledge it. This is sad.
And this why people like me, think that Biden really is just a Trojan horse. Can you honestly blame us? He’s either going to get booted out, which I believe, or just a puppet President.
