A former White House chief of staff, retired Marine general John Kelly, told friends that Donald Trump’s “dishonesty” is “astounding” and “pathetic”, a report has said.
"The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me,” the retired Marine general told friends, according to a report by CNN.
“The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it's more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life," he allegedly said.
Speculation long surrounded the president’s strained relationship with Mr Kelly while he was in office. The chief of staff left the White House at the beginning of 2019.
The damning comments feature in reporting for a new CNN special scheduled to air on Sunday: The Insiders: A Warning from Former Trump Officials, the broadcaster announced.
Former national security adviser John Bolton, former Health and Human Services scientist Rick Bright and former Department of Homeland Security general counsel John Mitnick are said to all feature in the report to explain why they think the president is unfit for office, CNN reported.

When Jose Antonio Reyes Dupont died in early September after a three-week battle with COVID-19, his son wanted to send the $10,000 funeral bill to President Trump.
Reyes, 84, was a lifelong Republican and die-hard Trump supporter who believed the president when he said early in the pandemic that the nation had the novel coronavirus "totally under control" and that it was no worse than the flu.
His son, Marco Reyes, a 38-year-old Democrat, was still deep in mourning when he turned on the television this week to see Trump boasting to supporters at a Pennsylvania campaign rally about his recent recovery from the disease.
"One great thing about being president: If you’re not feeling 100%, you have got more doctors than you thought existed in the world," Trump said to cheers.
He went on to say that he "felt like Superman" after receiving a "miracle" experimental antibody treatment.
Alone in his living room outside Miami, the younger Reyes could barely contain himself.
"I literally wanted to jump into the TV and tell him off," he said.
Trump "says he got a 'miracle' cure," Reyes said. "My dad didn't."
Reyes had hoped that Trump's bout with COVID-19 would be a humbling experience. Instead, the president remains as cavalier as ever about the disease.
His access to state-of-the-art treatment and his nonchalance — encapsulated in a tweet advising "don't be afraid of the virus" — have been particular sources of resentment for some of the families of the more than 218,000 people who have died in the U.S.
In hospital rooms across the country, patients are starting to ask whether they too can receive the same treatment as the president. Families of those who died have started wondering whether more could have been done.
The coronavirus outbreak at the White House has refocused attention on how Trump has dealt with the pandemic — his biggest political liability.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump suggested Friday he might take drastic action if he loses to Democrat Joe Biden.
He might even leave the country, he said.
“Running against the worst candidate in the history of presidential politics puts pressure on me,” Trump told supporters at an airport campaign rally in Macon, Georgia. “Could you imagine if I lose? My whole life – what am I going to do? I’m going to say I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics.”
Trump said he might not feel so good after an election loss to Biden. “Maybe I have to leave the country, I don’t know.”
The comment drew a quick retort from The Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump group of current and former Republicans working to elect Biden.
The group posted a video of Trump's remarks on Twitter and added a one-word commentary: "Promise?"

Completely screwing over the country and then running away sounds about right for trump. He's not the sort to tidy up his mess, is he, as his multiple failed businesses and subsequent bankruptcies show.
Much like the "patriots" in other right wing countries, who tells us all to love our country and be untrusting of foreigners, whilst they sell off the services of their country to places like China and move their own money and business offshore.

Trump has in recent days said repeatedly that the country is "rounding the corner" when it comes to the pandemic.
"We are rounding the corner and we have — unbelievable," Trump said Saturday at a rally in Janesville, Wisconsin. "The vaccines are unbelievable. Except for a little politics. We have unbelievable vaccines coming out real soon. And the therapeutics are unbelievable."
The president has talked up the available therapeutics for Covid-19 after he contracted the virus and was treated this month with an antibody cocktail, remdesivir, and a heavy steroid typically associated with more severe cases.
Covid-19 case numbers are on the rise nationwide, with hospitalizations beginning to tick up, as well. Deaths have trailed off since early August, but they tend to be a lagging indicator of a pandemic's severity.
"Yet, the other night, Trump said in one of his rallies, 'we've turned the corner,'" Biden said. "As my grandfather would say, this guy's gone around the bend if he thinks we've turned the corner. Turn the corner? Things are getting worse. He continues to lie to us about the circumstances."

WASHINGTON – The next (and final debate) isn't until Thursday, but President Donald Trump is already trying to pressure and intimidate the moderator, NBC News White House correspondent Kristen Welker.
"She’s always been terrible & unfair, just like most of the Fake News reporters, but I’ll still play the game," Trump tweeted Saturday. "The people know!"
Thursday's debate is crucial for Trump, who refused to participate in an Oct. 15 showdown with Biden because organizers wanted a virtual debate in light of the president's COVID-19 diagnosis.
What a f"ing child.

President Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden will have their microphones cut off in Thursday’s debate while their rival delivers their opening two-minute answer to each of the debate topics.
I bet after being shut off three times, Donald will huff and puff and stomp his feet, may even leave.

No mention of Hunter’s laptop here, of course. Not news? Texts and illicit images with a 14 yr old, incriminating emails that link Joe to getting millions from Hunters corrupt business dealings with Ukraine and China.Turning a blind eye because... “orange man bad”.
I bet the mic cut off is in place so the clearly biased mod (another Dem...shocking!) can mute Trump if he brings it up, which I’m sure he will. It’s big news that your favorite media outlets are trying to hide. They’ve already tried to do the go-to blame Russia excuse, which is absolute nonsense and has been debunked. It’s 100% his laptop.

Whatabouttery, victim mentality, hypocrisy. Sounds about right.
(The mic cut off is in place because "bad orange man" is literally incapable of having an adult conversation.
It's less about "bias" and more about "can we actually hear what each person has to say," you know, about what they'll actually do for the country, the stuff people need to know when casting their vote...)

Meanwhile, if the game is keeping track of every bad thing each side has done, let's just take a little trip down memory, shall we. (Some stuff exaggerated for comedic effect but, essentially, entirely true!)

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump spent a decade unsuccessfully pursuing projects in China, operating an office there during his first run for president and forging a partnership with a major government-controlled company, The New York Times reported Tuesday.
China is one of only three foreign nations — the others are Britain and Ireland — where Trump maintains a bank account, according to a Times analysis of the president’s tax records. The foreign accounts do not show up on Trump’s public financial disclosures, where he must list personal assets, because they are held under corporate names.
The Chinese account is controlled by Trump International Hotels Management LLC, which the tax records show paid $188,561 in taxes in China while pursuing licensing deals there from 2013 to 2015.

Where does he find these people?
Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the supreme court has prompted former members of her secretive faith group, the People of Praise, to come forward and share stories about emotional trauma and – in at least one case – sexual abuse they claim to have suffered at the hands of members of the Christian group.
Related: 'It instilled such problems': ex-member of Amy Coney Barrett's faith group speaks out
In the wake of the allegations, the Guardian has learned that the charismatic Christian organization, which is based in Indiana, has hired the law firm of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan to conduct an “independent investigation” into sexual abuse claims on behalf of People of Praise.
The historic sexual abuse allegations and claims of emotional trauma do not pertain specifically to Barrett, who has been a lifelong member of the charismatic group, or her family.
But some former members who spoke to the Guardian said they were deeply concerned that too little was understood about the “community” of People of Praise ahead of Barrett’s expected confirmation by the Senate next week, after which she will hold the seat formerly held by the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
