“The Republican Party is really also on trial in the Senate,” he said in video shared online by Raw Story. “And we’ll see if there’s any breaking of ranks. And right now, it doesn’t appear that there is going to be. But I think it will be many, many years that the Republican Party will be judged for what it does in this trial of Donald Trump.” news.yahoo.com/carl-bernstein-gop-senators-warning-trump-075432059.html

PAB's bullying ways have finally caught up to him “We had a deep interest in having the whistleblower testify until two things happened,” Schiff said. “One, we were able to prove everything in the whistleblower complaint with witnesses that had firsthand information; and second, the president and his allies effectively put that whistleblower’s life in danger.” He continued: “The president said the whistleblower and others should be treated as a traitor or a spy and we ought to use the penalty we used to use for traitors and spies, and that’s the death penalty." “So here’s the thing, Chuck, we don’t need the whistleblower secondhand evidence anymore,” Schiff added. “It would only serve to endanger this person and to gratify the president’s desire for retribution and that is not a good enough reason to bring in the whistleblower.” news.yahoo.com/schiff-on-why-democrats-didnt-call-the-ukraine-whistleblower-to-testify-164825108.html

WASHINGTON — A federal judge ruled late Monday that former White House counsel Don McGahn must obey a subpoena for his testimony issued by the House Judiciary Committee.
Federal District Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson said McGahn must appear before Congress but retains the ability to "invoke executive privilege where appropriate" during his appearance. The judge did not put her own ruling on hold, but the Trump administration will likely seek one to put the effect of her ruling on hold while it pursues an appeal.
"It is clear to this Court for the reasons explained above that, with respect to senior-level presidential aides, absolute immunity from compelled congressional process simply does not exist," Jackson said in her ruling.
McGahn's lawyer, William Burck, said his client "will comply with Judge Jackson’s decision unless it is stayed pending appeal. The DOJ is handling this case, so you will need to ask them whether they intend to seek a stay.”

I like her more and more every day. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is brilliant. As are the other well-known Justice Democrats, including Ilhan Oman, Rashida Tlaib, and Ro Khanna. More are on their way in 2020. Hopefully, we can get Jamaal Bowman (NY), Jessica Cisneros (TX) and Makayla Wilkes (MD) to replace Elliot Engel, Henry Cuellar, and Steny Hoyer, respectively. Also, Cenk Uygur is running in the special election in CA to replace Rep. Katie Hill. Uygur is the founder of The Young Turks (a political media company) and a co-founder of Justice Democrats, an organization of political activists pushing a progressive, for-the-people agenda.

I've followed Cenk for a few years now. I like him, seems like a straight up guy.

Absolutely agree. Justice Dems all the way. I've been a proud member of The Young Turks for several years, love the programs, love the energy, love Cenk and Anna and their progressive efforts.

That video went viral shortly after being posted, racking up like 2.5 million views and tens of thousands of retweets within a few hours. There were SO many other video clips Biden could have added to that montage, probably was hard to pick out just a few.

WASHINGTON ― Lawmakers on Capitol Hill didn’t appear convinced by President Donald Trump’s latest defense of the phone call with Ukraine’s leader that led to the House impeachment inquiry.
Some were literally at a loss for words when told that Trump was now claiming ― more than two months after the White House released a summary of the July 25 conversation ― that he was actually urging Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to help the United States when he pushed the foreign leader to “do us a favor” by probing former Vice President Joe Biden and a 2016 election conspiracy theory.
“When I said, in my phone call to the President of Ukraine, ‘I would like you to do US a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it.’ With the word ‘us’ I am referring to the United States, our Country,” Trump claimed in a tweet on Wednesday.
It just never stops with this dotard.

The GOP is fucked up !!!!!!!!!!!! Trump impeachment hearing: Pro-Trump Infowars host who called for Obama to be lynched thrown out of inquiry
A host on the far-right US conspiracy and disinformation website InfoWars has been removed from the latest impeachment hearing by police, after interrupting House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler with pro-Donald Trump messages. The interruption came from a host on the fringe conservative website who led a racist call earlier this year for the lynching of Barack Obama, America's first African American president. news.yahoo.com/trump-impeachment-hearing-pro-trump-141500169.html
