This is ridiculous Fox News hosts attack impeachment witness for drinking too much water
After a day of public testimony in which Americans were told directly by top officials that Donald Trump attempted to coerce the president of Ukraine into digging up dirt on a political rival, the political punditry in the United States had plenty to work with — yet Fox News attacked one of the witnesses for drinking too much water. www.yahoo.com/news/fox-news-hosts-attack-impeachment-161804946.html

Harvard constitutional law professor Laurence Tribe on Thursday dumped on Donald Trump’s political allies and defenders as he dissected the latest developments in the impeachment inquiry into the president. “I think it’s about time that people pay more attention to the Constitution and to the purposes of our democracy than to the trivial business of getting re-elected,” Tribe told MSNBC’s Chris Matthews during a discussion on Trump’s pressuring of Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate his potential 2020 Democratic rival Joe Biden allegedly in exchange for withheld military aid. “If your office is so important to you that you’re going to violate your oath and vote for someone who violates his oath every day and who uses the office of the presidency to enrich himself and to enhance his power, then I really think you are a pathetic excuse for a human being,” Tribe added. news.yahoo.com/laurence-tribe-donald-trump-defenders-090359249.html

Yup, Roger just another enabler who is loyal to "the boss" hoping, desperately needing a pardon.
The folks that truly amaze me however are his followers. The blind loyalty that they display (demanded by Donald) for their Supreme Leader is either because of complete disdain for the facts, stupidity, or both.
Regardless, it is extremely sad and disturbing to see this play out.

I love this Fox Business Network host Lisa Kennedy condemned President Donald Trump’s Twitter attack on former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, who testified in the House impeachment inquiry Friday. “Should the president be tweeting at her mid-hearing? No,” Kennedy said during an appearance on “The Five” shortly after the hearing ended. “It makes him look like a big dumb baby.” Trump later defended his remarks, describing impeachment as a political process, not a legal one, and asserting, “I’m allowed to speak up.” www.yahoo.com/entertainment/fox-kennedy-trump-big-dumb-baby-yovanovitch-161206423.html

President Donald Trump on Sunday retweeted a message from his son Eric touting the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. The double promotion with White House clout occurred at the same time that the Trump family is slamming Hunter Biden for allegedly profiting from father Joe Biden’s role as vice president by serving on the board of a Ukrainian energy company.
The retweet infuriated Walter Shaub, former head of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics for former President Barack Obama and Trump. “Definitely not trying to profit off the presidency at all,” he noted sarcastically.

Yovanovitch even said - right there in the hearing, while Trump's tweet was happening "I find this very intimidating." Will the Dims add it to the impeachment as another article, witness intimidation and obstruction? Nope.

Watergate Prosecutor Predicts The Moment This Week That Donald Trump Will Be ‘Toast’
Akerman earlier claimed Sondland has “got no choice here” but to “come clean” about his role and Trump. “Otherwise he’s gonna wind up like Roger Stone in federal prison, with Roger Stone as his roommate. I mean, he does not want that to happen,” he explained, referencing the GOP strategist and longtime Trump associate who was on Friday found guilty on seven charges relating to lying to investigators probing Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Stone will be sentenced next year. “If I were his lawyer, I would be sitting on him pretty hard and making sure that he told everything he knew, every truthful bit of evidence just to make sure he doesn’t go down for Donald Trump,” Akerman added. news.yahoo.com/watergate-prosecutor-donald-trump-toast-092839771.html

Disgusting watching the Rethugs demonizing and smearing the patriot Lieutenant Colonel Vindman in today's testimony. He wasn't born in the U.S., but he is a far better American than every one of those boot-licking Rethuglican scumbags in the US Congress, and just about every Trump worshipper citizen as well. The man has an impeccable service record, has literally bled multiple times for this nation on multiple tours of duty, and is putting the truth and his oath to defend the Constitution above his own safety by testifying today. THIS is what Americans should hold up as an example for their children to aspire to. THIS is what true selfless patriotism looks like. Vindman is honorable, honest, courageous, and selfless.
And yet, the Rethugs paint him as the worst of the worst because he dares to tell the truth about what he saw and heard about their Dear Leader, which is where their true loyalty lies - not to the Constitution, or to their oaths of office. Rethugs hold up TRUMP as the shining example for their children to aspire to be like. They hold up that slimy, lying wanna-be mob boss as their ideal of the ultimate patriot and ultimate man. It sickens me. Trumps have been in the United States for over 150 years, and not a SINGLE. ONE. OF. THEM. has served even one minute for their country in the armed forces. And the Rethugs paint Vindman as the traitor, and Mr. Bone-spurs as the patriot. Disgusting.
I shudder to think what kind of nation this will be 20-30 years from now when all of those children of Rethugs - raised to admire criminality, selfishness, dishonesty, tribalism, racism, cruelty, authoritarianism, greed, and people like Trump - are running this country. Hopefully they will be a very slim minority by then.
You will note that not ONE. SINGLE. REPUBLICAN. has yet to offer a single, solitary fact of evidence in the last two weeks to rebut any of the multiple witnesses' testimony about Trump's crimes. NOT. ONE. Their ONLY defense is to try to smear and discredit the witnesses, because it is not in dispute that Trump did any of the things they are stating. When you can't dispute the crimes, you must try to disrupt the proceedings and slam the truth-tellers. And we all know where this will eventually end: with the Republicans claiming that even if Trump did extort the Ukrainian President to dig up dirt on his political opponent, it doesn't rise to the level of an impeachable offense, and they will vote to not convict in the Senate. This will, in turn, set any number of very dangerous precedents for future - SMARTER - Presidents to use to abuse the office even further than Trump has. (Not Democratic Presidents, though - if they do any of these things, Republicans will suddenly care about the rule of law and will scream for impeachment post-haste.)
Trump, afterwards, will use the failure to convict as vindication that it was all a fake witch hunt by the traitorous Democrats, and will REALLY start abusing power. If you thought he was bad up until now, just wait until he gets away unimpeached by the Senate. He will let the few restraints that he has had on himself fall completely away, and we will really start to see serious crimes being committed. And the Rethugs/cultists will use it as further vindication as well, moving even further to the right and shredding the Constitution even more than they already have.
Very rarely - sometimes only once in a lifetime or two - a moment comes along where we are tested as humans to show our true colors. Where we must decide if we will stand for good or evil, for principals and honor - or for cruelty and base selfishness. This is really one of those times in the U.S. - and, sadly, too many millions of Americans have decided to stand on the side of darkness. I really believe someday far in the future, many of them (or their descendents) will look back with endless shame on how they acted during this time, much like Germans looked back on how they acted in the 30's and 40's with shame. I sincerely hope that history NEVER allows any of the Trump cultists to live down or forget their choice during these times. It should follow them like a dog biting at their heels for the rest of their lives, and beyond.

I think Pelosi's strategy is to expose everything prior to the 2020 election, but never ever ever give the Senate the opportunity to acquit, instead opting to have any conviction come from the electorate. I think this is why she's kept the impeachment inquiry extremely narrow and has been slow-walking every step.
At least, I hope that's what she's doing. Unless she and Schumer are collecting votes in the Senate. Just going to be hard to get 20 Republicans to cross the line.

“This White House appears to be cannibalizing itself,” said William C. Inboden, a former national security aide to President George W. Bush. “While many previous White House staffs have feuded with each other and leaked against each other, this is the first time in history I am aware of a White House openly attacking its own staff — especially for merely upholding their constitutional duties.” news.yahoo.com/white-house-now-cannibalizing-itself-131432971.html
