Welp, the Democratic primary went about as poorly as it could possibly have, and it looks like we're going to nominate a senile corporatist with a credible accusation of sexual assault on his resume. Six months ago, I wrote this: Here's a thought. Forget the debates, nominate someone who can actually beat this POS. Almost every one of them could beat Trump with the exception of Biden. So, it comes down to policy because we could have 8 years of change and fight, or 8 years of doing nothing. And, here we are. |

President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign sent a cease-and-desist letter to CNN demanding that it retract and apologize for a poll showing Joe Biden with a 14-point lead in the race for the White House. “We stand by our poll,” a CNN spokesperson said. The lower-than-expected turnout at the comeback rally, in particular, left Trump fuming.
“There’s really only one strategy left for him, and that is to propel that rage and anger and try to split the society and see if he can have a tribal leadership win here,” former Trump adviser-turned-critic Anthony Scaramucci said on CNN's “Reliable Sources.”

2020 is fucking depressing. We have a Democratic candidate that wants to bring Republicans into his cabinet. We have Republican PACs backing establishment Democratic incumbents against challengers in the Democratic primaries.
The establishment is pulling out all the stops against working people in a non-stop series of gut-punches.
Tomorrow there is a series of primary races that may provide some light or just be another kick in the nuts. Really rooting for Jamaal Bowman in NY-16 (Bronx and Westchester counties in NY) and for Charles Booker in the race for KY Senate to win their primaries over corrupt establishment candidates (Eliot Engel, Amy McGrath, respectively).
