Donald Trump Jr. played down the coronavirus outbreak, saying that the number of new Covid deaths in the U.S. is "almost nothing," even as an average of about 800 people in the country are dying from the disease every day.
The U.S. reported 971 new Covid-19 deaths on Thursday, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. Over the past seven days, an average of more than 800 people in the U.S. have died from the disease every day, up 14% compared with two weeks ago, according to a CNBC analysis of Hopkins data

Almost every town east of the town I live in has had a recent surge. My grand daughters are now on remote learning for two weeks due to cases at their school. Our 20 million dollar high school has not yet opened due to poor ventilation system. I guess nobody planned on a pandemic when in the design phase.

Instead of anger, maybe the truth and proper leadership would have helped.... *shrug*
“We’re in for a whole lot of hurt,” Fauci told the Washington Post in a hard-hitting interview published on Saturday night, three days out from election day, immediately angering the Trump White House.
“It’s not a good situation. All the stars are aligned in the wrong place as you go into the fall and winter season, with people congregating at home indoors. You could not possibly be positioned more poorly.”

Just to remind you what a proper president looks like, and that your don't have be a narcissistic, ignorant, lying buffoon, who makes everything about you.
Predicted it, said what was needed to stop it.
(I'm not a huge fan of Obama, politically, but at least he was a respectable, honest statesman, who was actually trying to do a good job, and didn't need to PRETEND he was doing a good job.)
And just a little reminder of what orange Don says and does about a pandemic:
‘They would like to have the people come off. I’d rather have the people stay [on the ship]. But I’d go with them. I told them to make the final decision. I would rather — because I like the numbers being where they are. I don’t need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn’t our fault.’

I mean, really, just watch this whole piece. Does an excellent job of showing exactly HOW, at every step of the process how the admin did a lot MORE than "drop the ball," they actively made it MUCH worse. And of course, shows Trump for excatly what he is, can't even bothered typing the list of adjectives anymore...
