It would seem weird for them to hook up with 2K and the PGA and then just totally abandon the franchise. HB has never really done anything that's impressed me with the three TGC games thus far, so I'm fine if this radio silence is due to them working with 2K to rebuild the game from the ground up. With that being said I still have the concern that if 2K is taking an active role in the creation of a new game they will want to see changes that will hurt or kill off TGCT. Will 2K be eager to allow HB to continue sharing the API data with TGCT? Will a company that likes monetizing as many aspects of its' games as possible want there to be a course creator where anyone can make a version of a course they could otherwise sell as DLC? Will the issues with Augusta/Magnolia give them even more reason to get rid of the course creator? Will they want to continue releasing a more sim like golf game with a steep learning curve or want to make a more accessible game to try and attract a larger audience? So many questions can be asked right now and no idea when there will be any real answers.
