WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump sought Friday to distance himself from attorney Rudy Giuliani, even casting doubts about whether the former New York mayor is still his lawyer.

Asked whether Giuliani remained his personal attorney, Trump said: “I don’t know.”

“I haven't spoken to Rudy,” Trump told reporters as he was leaving the White House for a political rally in Louisiana. “I spoke to him yesterday, briefly. He's a very good attorney and he has been my attorney, yeah sure.”

Giuliani told USA TODAY shortly afterward that he’s still Trump's lawyer. “He hasn't told me otherwise,” he said.

This is who Trump is. It's what he does. It's always about himself, 24/7/365, and nobody - NOBODY - matters to him beyond what they can do for him. Once a person becomes a liability, Trump throws them under the bus. He has zero loyalty to anyone but himself. Every stupid-ass Rethuglican who has their lips glued to Trump's significant ass should know that, including the clown Giuliani. Did the dipshit expect Trump to stand by him? He deserves everything coming his way. As does every single Rethuglican that has hitched their wagons to this train-wreck of an orange fool.

The thing is that Trump is being used, too, by those Republicans. They support him because he helps them accomplish their bullshit, bigoted agenda.

There is still more work to do in their eyes. Ruth Bader-Ginsburg can't live forever. If Trump is in office another 5 years, it's a near certainty that the SCOTUS goes to an overwhelming 6-3 conservative majority.

More than any other thing, in their eyes, Trump is most useful by stacking the courts with religious bigots. And so, they hold their noses and go silent when he's obviously wrong, but attack like dogs when a Democrat does something along the blurry line.
