Calls intensify for Barr to be impeached alongside of Trump: AG Pressured Foreign Leaders to Help Discredit the Mueller InvestigationThe AG is supposed to work for AMERICANS - not the President. And yet this piece of shit has always believed he is Trump's personal attorney. This in turn means that the entire Justice Dept, under Barr, also works for Trump instead of for the nation. Fucked up doesn't begin to describe this entire administration and what it is doing to this country.

WASHINGTON — Standing next to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a conference room in the U.S. Capitol, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff charged Donald Trump with “incitement of violence” in his combative response to the whistleblower complaint alleging the president attempted to exert political influence during a July phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky. “It’s hard to imagine a more corrupt course of conduct,” Schiff said of the phone call and the alleged efforts to keep private its contents, which White House aides knew would prove explosive if made public. Schiff also warned Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who recently admitted to having participated in the call with Zelensky, that “any effort” to keep State Department officials from testifying before the House Intelligence Committee would be “evidence of obstruction,” as well as, in his view, proof that the president indeed has something to hide. Schiff takes charge of impeachment, issues stern warnings to Trump and Pompeo

I quoted this exact source to a right-wing cultist on Salon.com the other day (he was defending Trump, of course) when he said that Trump had done nothing wrong. His response was "that's fake news, and the President can do whatever he wants in regards to foreign relations." This is why it is so hard to fight the right-wing: they don't give a damn about the law or facts (except when it benefits them), and when they are presented with irrefutable proof of something, they just say "fake news" and go right on ignoring it. In order to have a chance at a rational discussion with someone, the other side must be at least partially grounded in the world of reality - which includes facts and truth and the rule of law. The righties are beholden to their right-wing ideology - period. Full stop. That is the only reality that matters to them. How can you fight that kind of delusion?

You can't. That's why religion still exists. As long as there's someone on TV telling them what they want to hear, they'll go right on believing.
They'll also tell you other media outlets are telling lies. The problem is that they're right. That legitimizes their position.
