The irony of being fake
The Saudi royal family showered Donald Trump and his entourage on his first trip abroad as president with dozens of presents, including three robes made with white tiger and cheetah fur, and a dagger with a handle that appeared to be ivory. Little that followed went right. A White House lawyer determined that possession of the furs and dagger most likely violated the Endangered Species Act, but the Trump administration held onto them and failed to disclose them as gifts received from a foreign government. On the last full day of Trump’s presidency, the White House handed them over to the General Services Administration — the wrong agency — rather than the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which seized the gifts this summer. At that point, there was a surprise. The furs, from an oil-rich family worth billions of dollars, were fake. “Wildlife inspectors and special agents determined the linings of the robes were dyed to mimic tiger and cheetah patterns and were not comprised of protected species,” said Tyler Cherry, a spokesperson for the Interior Department, which oversees the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Officials at the Saudi Embassy in Washington declined to comment.

Trump released a statement last week saying his supporters should not vote in 2022 and 2024 if the GOP does not back his baseless election fraud claims.
Anybody care to agree with this?

It's always about himself and this is pathetic:
The 45th President appeared annoyed by the favorable coverage of Powell
Former President Donald Trump’s recent remarks regarding the coverage surrounding former Secretary of State Colin Powell’s death have some people scratching their heads. Apparently, Trump is no fan of the favorable press Powell has received.
“Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media. Hope that happens to me someday,” Trump said in a statement, The Hill reports, with Trump adding “a classic RINO,” which is an acronym for ‘Republican in name only.’
“He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace!” Trump concluded.
I can say....nevagonnahappen!!!

President Joe Biden quipped about his predecessor when a ringing phone interrupted his press conference about new CDC guidance on vaccinating children on Wednesday afternoon, November 3. During the press conference, which was streamed live to YouTube by the White House, an attendee’s phone began to ring while the president answered questions from the media. Biden said, “If that’s Trump, tell him I’m busy.”

Right-wing news network Newsmax distanced itself from one of its top reporters Thursday after she tweeted a bizarre false claim about the COVID-19 vaccine, saying it contains a bioluminescent marker that enables tracking.
The network's White House correspondent Emerald Robinson tweeted: "Dear Christians: The vaccines contain a bioluminescent marker called LUCIFERASE so that you can be tracked. Read the last book of the New Testament to see how this ends."

Kellyanne Conway resurfaced on Fox News on Monday night to attack President Joe Biden’s administration over inflation and the ongoing supply chain issues.
And the former adviser to Donald Trump made one of her wildest claims yet in the process.
“I worked in that White House for four years,” she told Sean Hannity, referring to her time with Trump. “We never even heard of a such of a thing. There was no supply chain crisis. There was no inflation.”
Supply chain issues were one of the most dominant stories of 2020, when Trump was president and Conway was working in the White House as the start of the coronavirus pandemic triggered panic buying. That, in turn, caused nationwide shortages of everything from toilet paper to pasta, leading to empty shelves in supermarkets.
“During the initial months of the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. suffered one of the worst supply chain crises in modern history,” Tinglong Dai, a professor at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, told Newswise, noting that many of the shortages lasted for months.
When supermarkets did have supplies, many enforced strict rationing of essentials such as flour and meat. The lack of food, combined with the loss of jobs due to the pandemic, led to miles-long lines at food banks.
In addition, essentials needed to control the spread of the virus vanished as the supply chain dried up: masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, soap, disinfectant wipes and more all were difficult or impossible to find.

A federal judge on Tuesday denied former President Donald Trump’s attempt to keep key documents from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
And one line stood out the most.
“Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President,” wrote U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan as she explained why Trump could no longer hide behind executive privilege claims in an attempt to stymie the committee.
Trump has been in deep denial over his 2020 election loss, to the point where he and those around him still refer to him as “the president” and have apparently even held pretend Cabinet meetings.
Reelect this asshat?

LOL, thanks for looking after my well being. I am well and it has been real slow since the election. There is a ton more but it looks like things have gone back to normal with a dem in office. It will heat up sooner or later or we will be under the watchful eye of nobody in 2024.

“The Daily Show” on Monday bid a final farewell to what became a long-running joke about former President Donald Trump’s administration.
Trevor Noah’s team responded to President Joe Biden’s signing of the bipartisan infrastructure bill into law with a supercut mocking Trump’s much-boasted-about and often-promised, but ultimately never-delivered, “Infrastructure Week.”
“RIP ‘Infrastructure Week,’” the Comedy Central program captioned the clip on Twitter. The “cause of death” was an “actual infrastructure week,” it added.

Attorneys for former President Donald Trump argued Wednesday that the pursuit of his White House records by a congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol could have long-lasting, harmful effects on the presidency.
"The [committee’s] clear disdain for President Trump is leading them to a course of action that will result in permanent damage to the institution of the presidency," Trump's attorneys wrote in a brief filed in federal court.
"In reality, their success would gut the protections afforded presidential communications of any just and uniform standard. An incumbent president would always be able to condemn the actions of a former president from a rival party and permit confidentiality to be broken to further political ends,” they wrote.
Sorry other guy...you destroyed the institution of the presidency

Lara Trump says rise in turkey prices is part of left-wing plot to destroy Thanksgiving
Lara Trump, the wife of Donald Trump’s son Eric, has said she thinks the rise in the price of Thanksgiving turkeys is down to a Democrat plot to ruin American traditions.
Ms Trump spoke on Fox New’s Hannity show on Wednesday, where guests discussed the issue of inflation.
“They have told us from the beginning that they want to fundamentally transform America,” she said of Democrats.
“How do you do that? You have to transform American from the inside out, you have to take away our traditions. It might seem a little funny and a little ridiculous – don’t have a turkey – then people won’t come over.”
She went on to say that it was part of a bigger Democratic strategy to “divide Americans up”.
“They don’t want us to have any common ground. They don’t want us to have any shared traditions, like Thanksgiving,” she said to the host.
“Last year, remember, they didn’t want us to get together, so I guess we’re lucky they’re letting us have Thanksgiving this year,” Ms Trump added.
In 2020, the CDC advised against travelling for Thanksgiving, but stopped short of an outright ban. At the time, Covid infections in the US were surging. The government announced a ban on alcohol past 10pm, in a bid to curb infections.
In 2021, inflation is driving the prices of goods up. Those celebrating a traditional Thanksgiving are paying premium prices for their turkeys – which are estimated to be around 15 per cent more expensive than in the same period in 2020, according to data firm NielsenIQ.
“They don’t care that Thanksgiving costs a lot more, whether you are driving to somebody’s house, paying for all that food on the table,” continued Ms Trump.
And republicans everywhere applaud her stupidity.
