Trump's former physician sent a letter to Biden asking him take a cognitive test - and more than a dozen Republicans signed it
Rep. Ronny Jackson of Texas, who previously served as the White House physician under both Donald Trump and Barack Obama, is calling on President Joe Biden to take a cognitive test to prove he's fit to run the country.
Jackson told Fox News' Sean Hannity on Thursday that he was circulating a letter among House GOP colleagues because he believed Biden was "not physically or cognitively fit to be our president right now."
More than a dozen Republicans signed the letter, including Reps. Brian Babin, Pat Fallon, Bob Gibbs, and Jeff Duncan.
"We can't sit on this any longer," Jackson told Hannity on Thursday, according to Fox News. "We need to know that we can trust our president, and we need to know that he's in charge of what's going on and someone else isn't pulling the strings behind the scenes. Because that's what it looks like now."
Sigh, they can't even come up with new material can they?

Giuliani suspended from practicing law in New York over bogus election fraud claims
"We conclude that respondent’s conduct immediately threatens the public interest and warrants interim suspension from the practice of law, pending further proceedings," the state appeals court wrote.
A New York appellate court on Thursday suspended Rudy Giuliani's law license after finding he made "demonstrably false and misleading" statements about last year's election while serving as former President Donald Trump's attorney.
In a 33-page decision, the court panel wrote: "We conclude that there is uncontroverted evidence that respondent communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large in his capacity as lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump and the Trump campaign in connection with Trump’s failed effort at reelection in 2020."
"These false statements were made to improperly bolster respondent’s narrative that due to widespread voter fraud, victory in the 2020 United States presidential election was stolen from his client," the ruling continued. "We conclude that respondent’s conduct immediately threatens the public interest and warrants interim suspension from the practice of law, pending further proceedings before the Attorney Grievance Committee."

With an active manhunt going on in my home state for 8 heavily armed men, I needed a humor break
Update, 11 men arrested. None had firearm's IDs. Dressed in camo going to a training camp a couple of states over from where they live. Could not care less about the laws they were breaking.

A very different Farrel, 65, told friends to get vaccinated, as he struggled with the virus. He died Wednesday, WPTV reported

There have been a number of news stories (real news stories) of someone from the VOCAL anti virus vax crowd getting real sick (in some cases, dying) and crying out to the public to get vaccinated. I hate to say this but I have no sympathy for people like them.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Republicans were trying to contain a fire of their own making a day before voting ends in the recall election against Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, persuading their voters to turn out Tuesday even as party leaders promoted unsubstantiated claims that the race was rigged or compromised by misconduct.
Larry Elder, one of the leading Republican candidates seeking to replace Newsom if the recall succeeds, has said he believes “there might very well be shenanigans, as there were in the 2020 election.” His campaign website has a link to a “Stop CA Fraud” website where people can report suspicious voting activity or sign a petition demanding a special legislative session to investigate an election that isn’t even over.
On Monday, former President Donald Trump, who has continued to promote falsehoods about his loss in the 2020 election, issued a statement saying, "Does anybody really believe the California Recall Election isn't rigged?"
That messaging poses problems for Republican Party officials, who are encouraging everyone to vote while also promoting a narrative that California's election security can't be trusted. Harmeet Dhillon, an attorney and the Republican National Committeewoman for California, said she made a video with her husband showing how they cast ballots by mail and urging everyone to do the same.

The "Big Lie," a falsehood peddled by Donald Trump that the 2020 election was "stolen," is now being peddled by conservative figures amid other down-ballot elections, most notably, the California recall election.
Why it matters: Now that the precedent has been set, some conservatives will likely use unfounded allegations of election fraud as a basis for undermining all potential election outcomes they don't agree with.
To be clear, there’s been no evidence of widespread voter fraud in the California recall election, or 2020 presidential election.
Driving the news: Right-wing media and political figures have already begun alleging that the recall, which will take place on Tuesday, is "rigged."
Fox Nation host Tomi Lahren said last week that the only thing that will save California Gov. Gavin Newsom in his recall election is "voter fraud." The claim has been peddled by right-wing media outlets and personalities for the past few weeks.
"Does anybody really believe the California Recall Election isn’t rigged?" Trump's "Save America PAC" blasted in an email to supporters Monday.
"Millions and millions of Mail-In Ballots will make this just another giant Election Scam, no different, but less blatant, than the 2020 Presidential Election Scam!"

California took another step toward its goal of ridding the state of all gas-powered engines thanks to a new bill signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Saturday.
The new law will ban the sale of all off-road, gas-powered engines, including generators, lawn equipment, pressure washers, chainsaws, weed trimmers, and even golf carts. Under the new law, these machines must be zero-emissions, meaning they will have to be either battery-powered or plug-in, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Wow this is a huge step. Can't wait for the lawsuits to start piling up.
