The Earth’s ice is melting around 57% faster than it was three decades ago according to research published in the ''The Cryosphere'' journal
Scientists report that an estimated 28 trillion metric tons of ice has been lost from the world’s sea ice, ice sheets and glaciers since the mid-1990s as climate change nudges global temperatures ever higher.
