Naught wrong with getting upset when your team let’s you down - shows you care.
Late start for me again tonight, will miss a fair chunk of the first session. Kinda hope you roll us and we see you batting chasing <350, although Marnus deserves his first test ton...

Decent day for us. We just beat USA in the BBall world championships (I think, might just be warm up games??) .
Suck shit America - send your second team down here, we’ll send em home with a smacked ass 😂

Can't see us getting 200 let alone 359, but I hope they are not thinking that way. There are at least 3 players playing for their place here.
My 9 year old daughter just noticed something I hadn't. 7 of the 11 England players have the initial J! That's a lot of J's!
I'll get my coat.

I saw a stat with all of the ‘J’ batsmen. They’ve made the same number of runs in their 25 innings as Smith did in his 3.

My boy Patto gassing it up to 92mph 💪🏻.
Not bad for a bloke that kept his first grade spot as a batsman when he was injured and couldn’t bowl. I can’t seperate him and Hazlewood as our 3rd best behind Starc and Cummins. Then we’ve got Jye Richardson who would have kept his spot but for injury around 88-90 as well. Don’t think our fast bowling stocks have ever been this strong. We had a couple of bad years there but I feel like we’re just adjustments to the batting lineup away from being the best in the world again.

Gritty play from Root & Denly.
Pressure building now though. Scoring has dried up.

At the very least it's nice to see a bit of fight. Denley has probably played his way in to the next test. Very good from England, but still a LONG way to go.
As I said, it's the hope that kills you...

pity Denley got out but at least a bit of a fight back but you can't escape that shocker of a first innings

Yep definitely nice to at least see some proper test batting in this innings - looking to occupy the crease - which is exactly what was needed in that first session yesterday.
New ball after 8 overs tomorrow - might be enough time for Joe and Ben to get their eye in. But that will be the critical time - if they can see it off, then one of the most unlikeliest comebacks in test cricket history could be on.
Nah 😜

Yeahnah. 😘
Great days play - probably the best of the series as far as equality. Denly looked horrible but was tough, so that’s a positive, as is Root finding form again.
New ball should just about do it, if not it will be another strangle-a-thon like yesterday. That was some decent bowling on a pitch that’s settled a bit.

Getting a little nervous here, we need to wrap this up soon.
